When I went to Ryerson journalism school 88-91 we still used typewriters with triplicate paper. At least we had a PC at the school paper!

Old habits die hard, but the tech gap between journos and the rest of the world seems to be closing. It wasn't that long ago that you couldn't e-mail attachments to reporters. Ah, the good old days.

Thanks again Craig. The dinos are slowly disappearing. There were many more of them when I started in journalism in 1997 than when I left in 2007. Good journalists realize that there are a shedload of great stories to be found online -- and it's worth the effort to click that link.

Obviously, one of the main things there is the press you are dealing with and obviously - as you point out - some countries have more dinosaurs than others (but I'm not naming names!) but it will be really interesting to see how it evolves and it's good to see a communications firm looking forward.
